On Saturday, Dec. 6, Herons Glen residents kicked off the holiday season with the first official Herons Glen Cornhole Tournament, at the shuffleboard courts. The event began with a heartfelt tribute to the generous cornhole sponsors whose support has brought this beloved game a permanent home within our community.
Ninety-six cornhole neighbors arrived ready to play, cheer, and enjoy a day filled with competition and camaraderie. The atmosphere was lively and fun with The Nest serving delicious burgers, hot dogs, and refreshing drinks. Resident Tom Foster kept the party going with great music throughout the afternoon.

These ladies aren’t just marking scores and checking in players, they collect fees, organize every player and sub, and pretty much make sure the whole tournament happens!
Participants came as neighbors and left as friends, the true spirit of Herons Glen.

This event showcased exactly what makes Herons Glen such a wonderful place to live: laughter, friendship, and a “hole” lot of competitive spirit!
The Herons Glen CornHole Association looks forward to many more tournaments, our new Monday morning league and invites everyone to join us on the courts in the new year.
