LARRY CUMMINGS AND SHELLY CHRISTIANSEN
March 21, 2026 – Spring arrived and on the first full day of Spring, bocce players enjoyed some friendly competition and perfect weather for playing outdoors. Six courts were occupied for four hours of fun. The first matches at 9 a.m. ended with the men winning at all 6 courts, but the ladies rallied to win a few as the day progressed through the noon hour. The final score, Men – 18 and Women – 6, was not the result that the women had hoped for, but everyone had a great time both observing and cheering as well as playing. A big thank you goes to Shelly Christiansen who led the women’s teams and Larry Cummings who led the men. We can’t forget a special thanks to Steve Christiansen for once again helping with the organization and publicizing the tournament. Once more, the restaurant provided delicious food for those hungry participants and fans as well.
