LADY NINERS BID FAREWELL TO JOYCE HAIST
DENISE JOHNSON, HERONS GLEN

The Lady Niners met for their monthly luncheon in the formal dining room on Wednesday, January 8, for a buffet of tortilla soup, taco bar, and a variety of cookies. After a cooler morning of golf, the soup and tacos hit the spot! It was great to see so many members returning after Christmas and attending the meeting.
Joyce Haist, Treasurer for the Niners, and her husband, John, longtime residents of the Glen, are moving back to Canada permanently. We honored Joyce for her dedication and hard work for the league with a bouquet of flowers, gift card, and a thumb drive containing many pictures commemorating her years of involvement with the 9-Hole League and for her enthusiasm and involvement with the annual Pretty in Pink event. She will be sorely missed by the league and fellow Glenners!
The league begins two rounds of their annual President’s Cup on January 15 and concludes on January 22. The annual Duke and Duchess Tournament and dinner (including husbands, significant others or friends) will be on February 12. We look forward to a fun January and February schedule.
