On March 22, the kickoff to the Men vs. Women Bocce Tournament was complete with cheerleaders – and they were a very enthusiastic trio of cheerleaders. This very cute trio is pictured at right. With three times and six courts used for each time, the day was filled with earnest groups of players and cheering spectators as well. The outcome wasn’t what the ladies hoped for, but even though the day ended with men scoring 17 wins and women scoring 7 wins, the ladies have not lost hope. We will be back with renewed optimism come 2026! Both Larry Cummings, men’s team captain and Shelly Christiansen, women’s team captain, are pictured at the official scoreboard. Better luck next year ladies and keep honing those bocce skills. Congratulations to the men who played 17 outstanding rounds of bocce.
