Dear Herons Glen Homeowner,
The Herons Glen Recreation District would like to provide a reminder regarding homeowner responsibilities for maintaining irrigation sprinkler heads located within individual yards.
As part of our ongoing efforts to optimize the District’s common lot irrigation system (CLIS), conserve water, and maintain the appearance of our community, we are highlighting the importance of proper irrigation sprinkler head maintenance. (Please click on the video below.)
In accordance with the District CLIS policies, homeowners are responsible for keeping all irrigation sprinkler heads located on their property clean, visible, and free from obstruction. This includes regularly edging around irrigation sprinkler heads and removing grass, weeds, soil, mulch, or other landscaping materials that may prevent them from operating properly.
Keeping irrigation sprinkler heads clear and functioning properly helps ensure the CLIS operates efficiently, extends the life of the equipment, and reduces unnecessary repairs and service demands.
The District’s irrigation contractor, Mainscape, will continue conducting inspections throughout Herons Glen to ensure irrigation sprinkler heads are being properly maintained. If irrigation sprinkler heads are found to be obstructed, the homeowner will receive a reminder requesting that the issue be corrected.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping protect this important community investment, conserve water, and maintain the beauty and quality of the Herons Glen community.
