The Heron is the community publication for Herons Glen, a gated community with 1300 homes located in North Fort Myers.

Community Association

The master association for the community is the Herons Glen Homeowners Association, Inc. The seven-member Board of Directors encourages transparency, communication, community activities, and strive to preserve property values through efficient management, staff, committee volunteers and the desire of residents to have a beautiful well-maintained community.

Herons Glen Clubhouse

Our social hub is the 6,000 sq ft Grand Ballroom, which boasts a 2,000 sq ft dance floor, a 500 sq ft stage equipped with professional lighting and sound systems, a full-service bar, and seating for up to 350 guests, making it perfect for events and celebrations. After a day of activities, guests can unwind at The Nest, our newly renovated restaurant and lounge, which received a fresh update in 2024. Whether you’re looking for relaxation, fitness, or entertainment, Herons Glen offers something for everyone.

Herons Glen Amenities

The Golf Club at Herons Glen is highlighted by an 18-hole championship course redesigned by Ron Garl, the original architect, in 2021 that welcomes golfers of all levels. Six sets of tees feature total yardages from 4,225 to 6,468 yards. The practice range includes 27 Turf-Hound hitting stations along with Bermuda grass stations, an 8,100 sq ft putting green, and a chipping area for golfers to warm up before tee time. Beyond the greens are six Har-Tru tennis courts, a 5,070 sq ft fitness center, lakefront heated swimming pool with spa, six Har-Tru bocce courts, six pickleball courts, card rooms, craft rooms, eight shuffleboard courts, picnic area, two libraries, and a billiards room.
