What a great day in Solana! Once again, Arlene and Nancy outdid themselves and brought everyone together for an amazing neighborhood celebration.

Neighbors from all over Herons Glen were invited, and everyone came with appetizers, side dishes, and desserts to share. Of course, Arlene and Nancy made sure nobody went hungry by providing their famous Sloppy Joes!

One of the coolest parts of the celebration was the incredible American flag made entirely from beer cans collected by residents throughout the community. It now stands proudly at the entrance to Solana and is a perfect example of what our community is all about, people coming together and creating something special.

The streets were lined with golf carts and lawn chairs as friends gathered to enjoy the music of Tom Foster and Norm Montgomery, our own Herons Glen residents and the talented duo behind “Bad Decisions and Good Guitars.”

There was lots of laughter, great food, wonderful music, and plenty of patriotic spirit. Seeing our veterans proudly wearing their service hats was a beautiful reminder of the freedoms we enjoy, and the sacrifices made to protect them.

At the end of the day, this wasn’t just a party, it was friends getting together, making memories, and celebrating everything that makes Herons Glen and America so special.
