Herons Glen residents enjoyed a full week of delicious choices during Food Truck Week, sponsored by the Resident Events Committee.
Throughout the week, a variety of food trucks offered everything from pierogies, pizza and paninis to burgers, brunch favorites and freshly prepared Italian dishes. The event gave residents an opportunity to enjoy an easy dinner close to home while trying foods they might not otherwise have experienced.
Despite summer heat, rain and an evening storm, residents placed approximately 463 food orders during the nine-day event.
Food Truck Week ended on a high note with a visit from Simply Greek, which served 100 orders, the highest total of any truck during the event and was clearly the resident favorite of the week. Owner Diana even brought a special menu for Herons Glen, making the final evening especially memorable.
The Resident Events Committee would like to thank all the food truck owners and staff who visited our community. We appreciate their delicious food, friendly service and flexibility throughout the week.
