The HG Magazine committee is looking for volunteers that enjoy the journalism business. This person must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and good organizational skills. Bringing in new ideas is always a plus!
Some of the responsibilities may include:
- formatting and editing articles as they come in
- reviewing photos for good resolution
- submitting articles and photos to the publisher
- reviewing magazine proof and sending corrections to the publisher
- supporting the community as required to help author articles
- creating an article plan each month based on previous and new articles
Note: A training guide is provided to get you on board quickly!
The committee meets on the second Thursday each month at 10:00 a.m. to go over the article plan for the following month’s issue. This includes deciding on a cover design/photo. These meetings usually last one hour so not a lot of time is required.
